Kenny Kan, the awesome bike guy has been in the business since 30 years. The latest bike he has customized is the Mighty Dragon 888. The bike runs on a 1400cc and weighs 900 pounds. The Harley Davidson chopper, which he has customized, is a sight worth looking at and has a deep red color to boast of. Kenny being an ethnic Chinese, wanted to offer his tribute to the Beijing Olympics and this bike came as a dedication. If only we had more artistic guys like Kenny Kan, the motorcycling world would have been more exciting than it already is.

The American Chopper guys have designed a NASA Tribute Bike themed around NASA’s Space Shuttle. The bike has been designed in such a way that even the tiny details weren’t forgotten which is what makes this bike so cool. The gas tank is shuttle shaped and the exhaust pipes remind you of the Space Shuttle Main Engines. The airbrush technique employed on the bike is just fantastic. You could even find the miniature-orbiting shuttle ’spinners’ on the wheels. If only the celebrities in the American Chopper episodes were a little amiable, the bike would have got a lot more publicity.

Bakfiets Cargobike Extra Long carries 13 children and measures 6 meters http://www.automotto.org/entry/bakfiets-cargobike-extra-long-carries-13-children-and-measures-6-meters/ http://www.automotto.org/entry/bakfiets-cargobike-extra-long-carries-13-children-and-measures-6-meters/#comments cavale bakfiets-laaaaang-2_gRiPi_17340

If you want to carry all your family, children and pets or anything else that you would wish to in one single vehicle, you must try the WorkCycles/Bakfiets Cargobike Extra Long. The vehicle offers room for 12 children in the box and also one more in the child seat on the rear carrier, if there are so many kids around you. The original design by Maarten Van Andel was criticized for being too long and when he made it shorter, the people liked the longer one better and hence the vehicle has come a full circle. The WorkCycles/Bakfiets Cargobike Extra Long measures 6 meters and thieves cannot easily walk away with it. The pricing is not known yet and it should be available next summer.

Kaiser Jeep FJ-6 Fleetvan, the vintage beauty http://www.automotto.org/entry/kaiser-jeep-fj-6-fleetvan-recently-goes-on-sale/ http://www.automotto.org/entry/kaiser-jeep-fj-6-fleetvan-recently-goes-on-sale/#comments cavale img_5555_tPQOh_17340
A Kaiser Jeep FJ-6 Fleetvan recently went on sale; the vehicle is a longer version of the FJ-3 and sits on a CJ-6 chassis. If you are not aware of the FJ-3, it was a compact delivery van, which was manufactured by Willys Motors and Kaiser Jeep in the early 1960s. Funnily, the FJ-3s were right hand driven and that is quite strange in a country like the US where the vehicles are left-hand driven. The FJ-6 was another version of that delivery van and is also called the Fleetvan. The Fleetvan is a class compact van that runs on a F4-134 Hurricane and has a 101 in wheelbase. The FJ-6 itself was replaced by FJ-9 later in 1975.

Fiat Portofino concept car harks back to the days of Fiorino http://www.automotto.org/entry/portofino-concept-car-harks-back-to-the-days-of-fiorino/ http://www.automotto.org/entry/portofino-concept-car-harks-back-to-the-days-of-fiorino/#comments cavale fiat-portofino-2_hicak_17340_ubNpT_17340
The Portofino concept car has been inspired by the Fiat Fiorino. However, the conceptualizers have removed the roof and the doors and made a few more changes to come up with a really unique design. The doors have been replaced by nautical ropes and the structural loss has been compensated by a rollbar-like central ring. In order to take the nautical theme a step further, the interior floors are made of wood and the dashboards have been repainted. The natural fibers in the seats are processed to be waterproof. Though it is a concept at this stage, Fiat plans to churn out models that are similar to the Portofino but would have the roof for protection against sunlight and the elements. This car surely will keep us waiting till it gets manufactured.

Spheric brings the water droplet inspired concept car http://www.automotto.org/entry/spheric-brings-the-water-droplet-inspired-concept-car/ http://www.automotto.org/entry/spheric-brings-the-water-droplet-inspired-concept-car/#comments cavale spheric_1zhdn_5784_hxewr_17340_NJJwb_17340

Daniel Fitzgerald has designed the Spheric, a futuristic concept car inspired by water droplets. The rear is tapered and makes it look more like a water drop and the front wing profile is flexible which helps the driver to brace himself against strong winds and also helps him to improve the car’s downforce. The wheel actions can be autonomously controlled and the driver can move sideways as well. The 4 independent motors have their own individual rotating and pivoting arms, which enables the car to rotate on the spot and also while moving. Ergonomically designed, the organic LED panels illuminate the car and the auto-parking feature allows you to use the auto-driver to park the car. This concept may actually be manufactured in the future because of its workability and efficiency.

Peugeot 888; Big Brother of the Vers? http://www.automotto.org/entry/peugeot-888-big-brother-of-the-vers/ http://www.automotto.org/entry/peugeot-888-big-brother-of-the-vers/#comments Ammaar peugeot-888-concept-car-05_e7VjJ_18116

If the Peugeot Vers wasn’t enough for you, then here’s the Peugeot 888. You can call it the big brother of the Vers; it’s almost exactly the same, with the same functions of shortening up in busy streets and lying down flat on the highway, but with one crucial feature: more luggage space. Yes, now you can go on out in the outback and the country side to spend some time away from the urban madness.

peugeot-888-concept-car-02_G1M2d_18116

Coming to design, the car is conceived by Norway’s Oskar Johansen and is, like the Vers, a two-seater. Although the functions are all nearly the same, they still are more “pushed”, if you ask me. In other words, unlike the Vers, the car can shorten or stretch out even more. Therefore it is more convenient. On the technical side, to make it ‘clean’, it is powered by motors which are run by lithium-ion batteries, which in turn, are covered by solar panels for additional energy.

peugeot-888-concept-car-04_1qXx1_18116

Such development should certainly continue as we are all aware of population and most of all, environmental problems. Cars like this are what will make the future better.

Citadine concept car's cool design stands out from the rest http://www.automotto.org/entry/citadine-concept-cars-cool-design-stands-out-from-the-rest/ http://www.automotto.org/entry/citadine-concept-cars-cool-design-stands-out-from-the-rest/#comments cavale citadine_M47MA_17340

If you had always wanted your car to look different and stand out in the crowd, or in this situation, traffic, then you will definitely love Citadine, a concept car design. The car was designed for the Peugeot brand and it was meant for birds-eye branding, that is, it would immediately be recognized as the one and only Citadine. The designer used strong carbon fiber reinforced polyester body and negates the usage of traditional steel chassis. The body is placed on a supporting universal platform, which contains a battery pack, and a membrane that filters air pollution. It also has sensors to detect bumps, curbs and objects. Probably you won’t run over a road hog the next time you are on the highway. It’s intelligent suspension reduces the risk of collisions and ensures your safety. The transparent design gives you a feeling of transparency and can seat four people. The concept car however did not make it at Peugeot design contest, which is a pity.

We all love exotic motorcycles and the meaner they look, the more attractive they get. We bring to you the Korean zoomer 125cc Dolsoe, which has been modded. The normal Dolsoe was pimped to become something cooler and now, the modded version has a 180cc and also bore tuning. The long wheelbase only improves the performance more. After the modding, the Dolsoe’s speed and power have greatly improved and so has the style! Now the Dolsoe looks not only mean and powerful, but also stylish and is functional. We are sure most bike lovers would love to ride the modded Korean Dolsoe.

The passion men have for bikes can only be equated to the ladies’ love for shoes! And just like you and I can never wear a heel too high, men too can never own a bike or car that cannot be made more macho. Just like this hell raising trike that was created originally for the Discovery Channel show Biker Build Off. The custom beast’s most remarkable features, as you can see, are the uber tough, ultra masculine 18″ Formula 1 tires fitted at the back.

clipboard_6C9U6_1333

Not only do they lend the machine an overpowering look, they also come in quiet handy in rugged terrain. The best part about this whole project is that the Exile Machines exclusive can be custom built for you with a custom paint job and custom motors though the $54,000 price tag might be a bit of a dampener in the larger scheme of things.

For time immemorial men have been cribbing about how they don’t have any spaces around the house to call their own where they can be themselves and profess their love for things that befit their manliness (football games on the telly, junk food, beer, etc.). That’s where this incredible Manvan concept created by the very insightful Ms. Aimee LoDuca comes in as a breath of fresh air. The fully customizable vehicle makes a perfect getaway accessory for men with an extendable back that opens up limitless possibilities for both indoor and outdoor use.

manvan_9PFyF_1333

Much like the Nissan NV200, the Manvan can be fitted to house a big screen TV, a gaming outlet, an arcade machine, a badass fridge or even a fully stocked bar to make it the ultimate hangout for men of all ages! Of course its going to need one hell of an imagination and one overflowing bank balance to make it into THE all-in-one party machine, but if will and way combine, nothing is truly impossible.

For time immemorial, the motorbike has been one of the top objects of men’s affection mostly for its rough yet incredibly beautiful shapely frame. But the grotesque school of thought has invaded that sacred territory and might I say the results aren’t too thrilling. Unless you’re a fan of the zombie movies or zombie graphic novels that is! Just like this exquisite piece here that comes to you courtesy of Russell Mitchell and Exile Cycles who took a cue from “Chopper Zombie”, a new graphic novel created by Thom Beers.

The plot of the comic is about a motorcycle builder who creates a new super-fuel and doesn’t sell the formula to a dangerous corporation who have him drowned in the stuff. Of course the dude rises from the dead and the zombie adventures begin. The graphic novel is due to go into production in 2009 with a movie version slated for later.

This super awesome four wheeled bike by the Austrian manufacturer KTM might just take us all by surprise. The futuristic and alien looking motorcycle KTM X-Bow would deliver the performance of a bike but would come in a four-wheeled package. Weighing at about 700 kg, it is manufactured using carbon fiber monocoque and uses an Audi sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. The engine produces 273bhp and would be released only in Europe and Asia for now. You can also rejoice as the bike is street legal and you could cruise the highways on a mean machine like this. In Europe, the bike is going to be priced $70,000 and is expected in 2010.

Patricia Piccinini is an Australian artist who has helped produce various art related designs for a number of fields. The Nest is a vehicle concept that resembles the mother and her baby. It looks like a deer or a docile mother and her child looking up to it’s mother. A very touching concept and design indeed. Her work has helped Patricia gain international acclaim and is one of the most successful artists in Australia. For now, we can’t but admire how original the idea for this Nest vehicle is. It definitely reminds you of the cozy nest or home a mother would like to provide for her child.
